Most of Western Africa lies 1,500 feet below sea level. Thie low lying terrain in the North is known as the Sahel, and separates the Sahara from the savanna. The rainforests in Western Africa lie between the savanna and the Southern Coast. ("Western Africa")
Western Africa lies around and above the Gulf of Guinea, and is sandwiched inbetween the Sahara to the north and the equatorial Atlantic to the south. This geographical diversity allows for a diverse climate as well, from extremely dry and hot in the North, it ranges down to a moderate, wet climate. ("Western Africa")
Western Africa, being the closest sub-Saharan region close to th EU, is the primary trading partner with the EU. They trade fuel products, which Africa is very rich in.
